Sunday Worship

We are a Church! Our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. We are motivated by the love of God, which leads us to serve the lost, vulnerable, needy, poor, hurting, helpless, and hopeless.

We meet for worship every Sunday at 10:45am preceded by a prayer meeting at 10:15am. Our lively worship service usually concludes by 12:15pm and then we meet for coffee and fellowship. While many of us wear distinctive Salvation Army uniform identifying as committed members of the church, there is no formal dress code for our worshipers - come as you are! You are welcome!

We love to have children participate in our congregation and can arrange for nursery and junior church programs that run concurrently with our worship service.

Women’s Ministries

We have several programs providing fellowship and support for the women of our congregation and community. These include our CAMEO club, Women's Bible Study and small group fellowship. There are lots of activities included such as arts and crafts and educational and entertainment programs.

Youth Ministries

We have support and programs catering to young people ranging in age from toddlers to young adults. We provide nursery facilities during our worship services for the very youngest in families. Our Sunday School and Youth Mentoring programs give young minds a solid foundation for the challenges of life. Our older teens and young adults have opportunities to serve seniors and homeless members in our society.

Music Ministry

The public has a stereotypical view of our Brass Band tradition, especially at Christmas. We have a high standard of music making and have both junior and adult brass bands and choir groups that take part in our weekly worship services. We provide music instruction and instruments for members of all these groups from absolute beginners to college age music students.

Community Gospel Choir

Ayr Community Gospel Choir rehearsals are held on Thursdays at 8pm. Members of the local community and beyond are invited to come together and sing in a ‘Community Gospel Choir’ which is open to everyone aged 14 and above.
Whether you have a faith or not, can read music or not, or have never sung publicly before, all you need to bring along is your enthusiasm and voice,
All new participants will need to register and for those 14 to 18 years of age, parental consent will be required.
For more information just come along to any rehearsal where a warm welcome awaits you.
There is a registration fee of £10 for the session, to cover the cost of music and other expenses.

Rainbow Tots

A safe and stimulating place for our youngest children and their parents.

Café Church

A relaxed informal fellowship gathering for praise and worship involving many faith groups and our musical forces. As the name implies refreshments including cakes, biscuits, tea & coffee are all on offer for a relaxed family evening. We usually open the café at 5:00pm and conclude before 7:00pm.
